Redemption Restaurant

We had the chance to come eat at Redemption twice - once in July and again in August. Both times were just splendid experiences. The first time we had the Jambalaya and the Lobster Po Boy, the second we had the Ribeye and Salmon. The food tasted delicious and was the perfect portions to leave us satisfied. I was also impressed with the service. Our first visit stood out because the time it took us to be seated, ordered, ate, and finished was about an hour, and at no point did we feel rushed. On the second visit, my husband ordered his steak rare. When it was brought out the waitress made a point to let me know that he was getting his steak early because they didn't want to let it cool, but my salmon would be out in two minutes. I appreciated the communication, and by golly, my salmon was out within two minutes! Also, we had different drinks each time, and all of them were expertly crafted and tasted delicious. Overall, next time we come to Faribault, this restaurant will definitely be on our list of stops!

Yes this place may have some decent food and it’s a cool building. That does not make up for the terrible attitude the staff has. I have been turned away multiple times and not politely. There is always some issue or some stupid comment they need to make that make you or other people feel stupid or in welcome. Honestly this place needs to learn some customer service if they want to last.

Finally getting my review posted nine months after we visited. Getting this review posted has been on my mind since then. It's that good. Stopped in on a local recommendation. They were busy but seated our party quickly, and it just kept getting better from there. Enticing menu made it difficult to choose, so we ended up with a variety from kids meals to surf & turf, craft beer, drinks, and dessert. My dry aged ribeye, sauteed mushrooms, and asparagus were on point, and this sentiment was echoed across the board. Portions were nicely sized, everything was absolutely delicious. Right down to my son's chicken strips, which I couldn't stop eating even though I was full. But the service... let me tell you what. You couldn't find better. Our waitress was fantastic, took the time to answer questions even though they were hopping. Even got my son to eat a reasonable amount of his dinner though he was zoned in on dessert. One of the best - if not the best - service experiences I have ever had. Suffice it to say, when we're back for ice fishing, this will be one of the stops we are most looking forward to. Stellar experience, delicious food, reasonable prices. Redemption, you guys are awesome and Faribault is lucky to have you!

I really enjoyed the food and it was a pretty decent portion. The chicken sandwich I got with jelly on it was good, but it didn't knock my socks off as far as flavor or texture goes, which disappointed me a little for the price. However it was a really fun place to eat. The smokey smell of the place and the character and lighting of the building was awesome. The staff were good. They made it fun and were really friendly, too. Personally, it's not a place I would pick very often, and that's why I give it 4/5 overall, but it was a nice place and well worth a try.

I went here for the first time today with a couple co-workers. I have heard from others that the prices were expensive. Well, I was surprised that the prices were the same as anywhere else and the food was excellent. I had the Redemption Wedge Salad with chicken ($15) and loved it. One co-worker got the Tuesday special, bone in wings ($14) and they looked great and were plenty. Another co-worker got the Corned Beef ($unknown) and that too looked great. The staff was wonderful, the food was quick and the atmosphere was fun. Update with food pictures: I went back with a buddy a few days after my first visit. I had to try the Corned Beef. It was very good. My buddy had the pulled pork sandwich, which was huge. He loves coleslaw and he said that this was one of the best he’s had.

Top-tier dinning experience! I don't even know where to start, but I'll try and cover all the bases. -The food was amazing! The pulled pork egg rolls were a unique and delicious start to the meal. The Korean BBQ sauce is great and the pork was to die for! My wife had the Jambalaya which was nearly perfect, the only complaint was that the shrimp was a bit overcooked. I had the Porterhouse and I can confidently say it's the best one I've had at any restaurant, and I've been to some great steakhouses. The BLT butter was just purely amazing and gave the steak such a great flavor. The sides were great as well, perfectly cooked. The drinks were great, we definitely recommend the Redemption Old fashioned and the Rojo Margarita (Spicy but great) The dinning room atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. Service was professional and left nothing wanting. Prices were very reasonable for what you get! 10/10 would recommend. We will definitely be back soon!
